Tile damage /flooring

Not every tile floor qualifies to be re-grouted. At times floor tiles that are loose or broken may be a sign of problems that exist throughout the floor. It can be difficult to determine whether this is the case or not until the problematic tiles are removed and the surrounding tiles can be examined more closely. If the issue is localized to just those tiles it is possible to replace or reset them and continue with the re-grouting process. Otherwise a new floor installation will be necessary at some point. In these economic times it may be possible to temporarily repair just the problematic areas until a new floor installation may be scheduled for a time when you will be in a better position to go forward with the work. It is recommended that you do so to avoid further damages and to avoid safety issues that are inevitable with loose floor tiles. If you should choose to go forward with the re-grout with the knowledge that your floor does have existing issues, BHI is not responsible if problems or issues should arise. Any tiles that have been set or reset must not be touched for at least 24 hours per manufacturers instructions.

Re-grouting

This is the process of removing the grout from between the tiles. This process involves either manual or in some situations mechanical removal of the grout from the joints. Everything that can be done to avoid damaging the tile will be done with every re-grouting service provided, but we are not responsible for loose, cracked, chipped or scratched tiles due to the vibration of the tools needed to do the work. This is a very rare occurrence and usually when it does happen only the edge of the tile is affected and will be concealed by the new grout.

You will be responsible for removal of any personal items in the room that the work is being done. BHI is not responsible for damages to personal property left in the work area.(ie..toothbrushes,towels,soaps,floor mats, etc…) Drop cloths and padding will be used to protect surfaces in the room from dust and possible damages if necessary. (flooring, counters, tub, etc…)

The final application(new grout or tile installation) must remain unused for a minimum of 24 Hours.

Color

Grout and tile colors are constantly changing. Therefore we can not guarantee an exact match of the original grout or tile. When only a partial repair is being made it may be that the new grout does not match. Each customer will be shown a grout sample to choose their grout color from. You may choose not to decide and defer this responsibility to BHI. If this is the case we are not responsible for the color selection should you decide that you do not like it. If you would like to choose a new color and have the grout changed to that color BHI will do this for you at a decreased cost. You must notify BHI of this change immediately to receive this reduced cost to re-re-grout.
